REM (Rotaract European Meeting) through the years
REM Turin, Italy (January 2012)
Members of Rotaract Club Dedinje represented Serbia at REM in Turin, Italy (January 26-29, 2012). On this “expedition”, the Club was represented by Igor Mijatovic, Nikola Stojadinović, Nikola Stojanović and Miloš Došen. We made new acquaintances and got new ideas for future activities.
REM Istanbul, Turkey (January 2015)
Rotaract Club Belgrade Dedinje participated in REM in Istanbul in January 2015. The representatives of the Club were: Ljubiša Stamatović, Nikola Stojanović, Andrijana Jovičić, Igor Mijatović, Miloš Došen and Tanja Miladinović. We used REM to exchange experiences with our friends across Europe, but also to present our tradition, history and culture to them. In Istanbul, we had a special collaboration with Istanbul Dolmabahçe club, who were our “hosts” for 3 beautiful days in the most beautiful city in Turkey and the only city located on two continents. Friends from the Dolmabahce club took us through the city, and in addition we did a joint international activity. After several actions and socializing, our club became fraternized with RTC Istanbul Dolmabahçe and we expect them soon in Belgrade, where we will do our best to return their hospitality.
REM St. Petersburg, Russia (January 2016)
Rotaract Club Belgrade Deidnje had representatives at the winter REM in Saint Petersburg (7.1. – 10.1.). The representatives of our Club were Igor Mijatović and Tanja Miladinović, and the Serbian delegation consisted of only 5 members. In our brotherly country, we felt as if we were in our own home, and the organizers, who made an effort to make sure everything went smoothly, contributed a lot to that. The organization was at the highest possible level and we have to admit that this was one of the best organized REMs so far. We attended the opening ceremony and gala dinner, where we mingled with over 500 Rotaractors from 64 countries. We exchanged experiences and agreed on a new cooperation. We felt a real Russian winter, because the temperature was between -27C and -22C, and skating on the frozen Neva, its channels and lakes, will remain in our fondest memories. We hope that we managed to present our Club at the highest level at this international conference as well possible level, as well as to bring the history, tradition and culture of the Serbian people closer to our friends.
