Serbia, the land of lilacs – Maglic fortress

The project called “Serbia, the land of lilacs” has existed for many years, and as part of this action, our Club continued the tradition of its members in the form of refining medieval fortresses.

On April 13, 2024, we donated lilac seedlings and planted them in a location of exceptional importance for our people, near the entrance to the Maglic fortress (more details about the fortress). The Maglicgrad Association helped us with the planting itself, and with Milos from the association we agreed on further actions in the near future.

We would like to thank Vesna Jugovic de Vinca, as well as the Rotary Club of Kraljevo for their support in this project. We could not have organized the event without our host, guide, and above all friend, Miran Goljovic. We used the trip to Maglic to spend two unforgettable days visiting Serbian medieval monasteries (more details on this page).
